Wild RosesThe wild rose is resilient, mysterious and beautiful. Sierra explores the wild and wonderful world of roses. So much adoration, symbolism and folklore surrounds this magnificent flower. She is continually inspired by their form, color and texture. She collects the hidden treasures of the day in her daily walks, sketches and studies. Through her imagination, she paints something that is truly enchanting. She guides the viewer’s eye with luminous color, pattern, movement and texture. She wants the viewer to have a conservation…to see something familiar, be inspired, and to feel at peace while re-wildly the soul…even if it’s just for a moment. Today, I will linger with the wild roses, the wilted petals, twisting vines, pollinators buzzing…while embracing the season. I will choose to notice one beautiful thing that I can and cannot preserve. I will receive it, enjoy it, then let it pass with gratitude.
